Why I Decided To Tier Dragon Ein Azi Dahaka @ High Tier 2

ok , so most of you must be wondering why I decided to suddenly tier Azi Dahaka Dragon Ein at high tier 2 after being placed at Tier 3 for 2 weeks . The reason for this is because of Dragon Knight Pizario . The card was being quite badly looked down on due to it's ' once per turn ' limitation. However , this card actually solves the most problematic thing about Dragon Ein . Hand size . By tapping to draw 1 card , it opens up more than enough chances for the deck to draw out the Azi Combo . At first , I thought that it would solve some of it's problems but not all , so Ein will still be tremendously underpowered . It was not until I tried it out at a local tournament that I changed my thoughts about the whole deck . The deck was sweeping many of the newer decks and even the meta deck builds with ease . Playing an Azi Dahaka on Turn 1 doesn't seem that difficult anymore and 90% of the games started off strongly with Azi and a solid finisher with Aqulta Gwaneff . There was a problem with Gwaneff in the past is that i has problem dealing damage to the opponent beacuse it doesn't have [Penetrate] but giving it penetrate would be a bit too broke . However it IS possible to give Aqulta Gwaneff [Penetrate] by playing Enchant Wand Dragon which gives your sword the ability. This actually leaves alot of decks defenseless and even size 3 decks will have problems against it , not to mention there is still our good friend Cocytus Greed which helps to super control board if you are really unlucky with your draws . With the current amount of draw power , it is possible to play this deck at a competitive level , though it may require a higher skill level to play this deck without making too many mistakes .However , I think its a good addition to the Meta List , at least something new is coming up into the meta instead of the usual Raging Spirits or Disgards.

 A sample decklist :
(note that this deck has been modded to my likings so some cards may seem inappropriate)

After much testing, Dragon Ein with Giga Howling Crusher is the much preferred choice. It easily deals 8-9 damage at the cheap cost of 3 gauge. This can quickly end games or even change the tide of the game , 8-9 damage on a single impact is no joke. Along with Fifth Omni Drum and Crimson Omni Drum, it puts alot of pressure on your opponent. Legendary Messiah Tasuku gives very strong value with it's on-play +1 guage , +1 life ability. Hundred Demons Sorcery Rineryusho is a seriously overpowered card for Dragon Ein. Why do I say so ? Rineryusho allows the player to ddestroy his Azi Dahaka, pulling out Aqulta Gwaneff faster than ever. If you do decide to run INV Death Asmodai, Rineryusho can be used to destroy Asmodai , proc-ing it's ability faster. Rineryusho also helps prevent penetrate damage when Azi is attacked adn the list of combos goes on and on and on , that's how good the card is.

Dragon Ein 8.0 ( Post Buddy Rave)

With the new support in Buddy Rave, Dragon Ein was able to keep up with the extremely competitive Buddyfight scene. Yearner Of Destruction , Azi Dahaka and Dragon Knight Cagliostro made the deck much more consistent and calling out your Azi Dahaka now is not a difficult task. Curse Dragon Tragose also is another card that compliments the deck extremely well. It helps fight against decks with spell nulls as you can retrieve your Dragon Throne from the drop zone. Hundred Demons Sorcery Rineryusho's value has also risen up significantly as it has become too much of a staple in any Dragon Ein deck

A week has past since the release on Hbt03 and we've finally seen the reigning Kaizeron step down from his throne . After Kaizeron stepping down , the throne is left empty and the meta is now very unsettled . Taking advantage of this period are low tier-ed decks trying to climb the tier listing. Decks such as Dragon Ein has seen more play due to Dragon Knight Pisario . Apart from that , Burn Nova has seen to make it's way to almost every single Buddyfight builds out there , so be prepared to be BURN NOVA-ED!!

Omni Lords ' Who's the best?'

So after the release of the much hyped booster HBT-03 , I have decided to rank the the omni lords ,(with exception to the danger world's) based on their utility in any world and how much it affects current meta gameplay.

1. Third Omni Water Lord , Miseria
This card is just amazing . It comes packed with some of the best mechanics in this game , namely Double Attack and Soulguard. These makes the card have an excellent amount of offence and defense at the same time . However the card only has an average stat for a size 2 making the card easier to clear , however with its soulguard of 2 cards , it allows the player to stall for some time , mostly to pull out their combo pieces or the game finishers . Being a size 2 with Double Attack makes it equivalent or even better than our good old friend PK, Demios Sword Dragon .Moreover , he fits into any deck , be it aggro , combo or control , it will definitely find its way into any decks. With all it's plus points , it's not a surprising fact that he is number 1 on my list.

2. Fourth Omni Fire Lord , Burn Nova
Before the booster was released , this card was spoiled quite some time back already and was considered one of the better omni lords to date . However , after getting a burn nova a testing it
with current competitive decks , I felt that this card deserved a much better rating than Asmodai.
This card , in my opinion , is game-changing . It will change the way peopl look at a buddyfight match . In the pass , a match with one side losing would just lose due to an impact or a barrage of high critical attacks . With burn nova , players will be able to survive even an impact that can't be nullfied or reduced! And it doesn't stop there , with burn nova down on board with a whopping triple attack , its not easy for your opponent to survive burn nova's attack. However , Burn Nova has it downs too . For a size 3 , it doesn't have high defense nor soulguard to sustain itself for more than a turn . Currently there are quite a number a removals for any sizes so burn nova isn't that much of a threat . Definitely would be expecting most decks to run 1 of him just for emergency purposes.

3. Second Omni Demon Lord , Asmodai
yo! yo! yo! Asmodai became an Omni Lord with 50 000 attack and 10 000 def  with 3 critical!!!! that's insane!!! A good card with the ability to penetrate and counterattack . With its high defensive stats , it helps the player really stall out the game and take over control of the game . Even if this card would be removed from the field , it can activate its ability to stay on the field . Which would be a problem for many decks as they hardly hit for such big numbers which then require them to link attack , only to be counterattacked by Asmodai , if the player decides to pay it's cost and stay on the field . overall a really good card which I will see go into many of the current size 3 decks....... Asmodai in Hundred Demons maybe?

edit( I fought against this magic world deck built around OmniAsmodai and wow ...it really worked better than i expected , works like sieger in a sense and just exhausted me of all my resources.

4. Seventh Omni Earth Lord , Count Dawn
Though outclassed by the newer omni lords already , this card still has its uses. This card allows the player to gurantee field presence every turn as it is able to revive itself at the start of the player's turn . Being a size 0 , he can be called , even if you have a size 3 (or 4 for Dragon Ein) without worries. Though it still fits into decks such as Legend World, Darkness Dragon World or Dragon Ein , it's not as game-changing as the newer omni lords. With only 1 critical , its hard to see how this card can fnish off their opponent easily .

5. Fifth Omni Dragon Lord Tenbu
Ahhhhhhh , used to be a staple in every single Buddyfight deck out there . It has the amazing skill to burn every monster your opponent control to ashes. A good AoE board wipe especially when you're in a pinch . Not only that , it comes packing with 3 criticals !!!! However , it faills short due to the fact that its stats aren't fantastic and its ability won't kill off soulguard monsters. So things like Drum or Jackknife can jsut use their penetrate abilities to deal damage to the player directly. Though this card is still usable for worlds that don't have good removals on their own , Tenbu doesn't see much play soon after a few tournaments.

6. First Omni Beast Lord Zuin
To begin , don;t get me wrong , this card isn't awful or trash , its just that there are better cards to play than him. Okay , Ziun , well he's an incredible finisher card with attack cannot be nullified, making its attack almost unstoppable . Why almost ? well , its damage can still be reduced by Black Dragon Shield or Gold Dragon Shield . Sadly being a size 3 , it has extremely bad stats , with only 1000 defense . So if you failed to finish off your opponent with this card , you're almost as good as dead the turn after , a huge gamble which most players are not willing to take . However , it provides Katana World with a proper finisher it long needed.

7. Fifth Omni Lord , Drum
One of the newest Omni Lords released together with Miseria and Burn Nova . This card offers some good stats , soulguard and an extremely powerful skill which is extremely hard to use LOL. The skill requires the player's life to be at 6 or less to be activated which kinda sux.... it makes the card that much harder to use and most of the time , it would be used of an ' attention seeker' instead of really using its skill . On current competitve gameplay , this card isn't that effective now because of the fact that there are quite a number of impacts being able to deal more than 5 damage which leaves OmniDrum useless in the entire game . However , in the event that your opponent does not have an impact to finish you off , this card really board controls extremely well . Outside of its Fifth Omni archetype decks , I doubt I would see any use for this card , mayyyybe some in generic dragon world decks? ( Paratrooper combo? hmmmmm) well , we've got to wait and see what this new Omni Lords has to offer .

8. Sixth Omni Storm Lord Variable Cord
A card that was hyped for the dumbest reasons. The anime appearance of it. This card is just downright bad with extremely bad stats for a size 2 . Like seriously , 2000 def? What can you do with that measly number ? Okay I get that its so that after adding dragonarms to it , to defense won't get overpowered and all but seriously , at least give it 4000 defense to survive some size 1 on it's own. It only works to some extend with the '3 drawing monsters combo ' but even if you're willing to play something along those lines , its better to just go with Marshall Fortress with Ultimate Buddy. Outside of Star Dragon World , this card is even more useless, there's almost no other way to make use of this card in other worlds since Variable Cord without dragonarms is pretty much trash. Though this card is trash in competitve gameplay , I really like the artwork on this one expecially in the anime and I'm sure alot of you guys out there favour it for the same reason . However other than that , it doesn't have much of a use . That's why it's ranked the last of all Omni Lords.

Meta Overview 1 ' Kaizeron still reigning after 1 extra booster supports?!'

This week , we see yet again , taking first placing in Tier 1 is our good old friend Kaizeron , even after supports buff-ing other worlds from the recent Heb-03 , it seemed as though nothing could stop this monstrosity from reigning the buddyfight meta as it continues to top every continentals and regional tournaments . Also ,Legend World after Hbt02 and Heb03 supports have also seen to have worked its way into Tier 1 just falling short of Kaizeron. These 2 decks are easily the most competitive decks out there now . However we do see an unexpected 'Hundred Demons' combo that abuses Cocytus Greed to remove every possible threat on board which has the potential to beat many other decks , thus its placing in Tier 2. Dragon Ein's specialty , Azi Dahaka has seen a comeback with newer and older players alike testing it out with the Heb-03 Dragon supports.

This Blog is my opinion on the current Future Card BuddyFight meta list . These will be decks which have seen lost of play and/or have been topping tournaments around the globe currently
