However this card truly stands out in the current king of meta-play , Dragon Ein /Azi Dahaka. Why is this so good in Ein? Well, Aqulta Gwaneff neutralizes all single attacks, meaning that your opponent will have to perform link attack to try to deal damage to the player, this is where crimson drum acts, paying 1 life, the link attack is redirected to the crimson drum , only then losing 1 soul. It spares the Ein player a turn or even 2 if he doesn't have a shield. Crimson Drum is also unique in a sense that it's ability is not a counter, meaning cards that disallow players to cast counters during their monsters battle will have no effect against this guy. As for the setbacks for this card, it's hard to really say that it has any glaring weakness but i guess that you can say the only weakness is also it's strength. Because of it being an Omni Lord , you can only place 1 of it outside a dragon world deck, so Dragon Ein doesn't share the benefits of playing 4 because it is not a world, thus only enabling the deck to run 1.
Overall this card is just amazing , crazy skill, cost worth it's skill and size 2 only. In my opinion , this is the best card in the entire set so do get your hands on one of these !!
