How Good Is Jackknife "Drum Bunker"?

With the release of the recent Heb04-Buddy Allstars , many people still question how good are certain cards and Jackknife "Drum Bunker" is one of the many.

Okay, so this card has it's pros and cons and to start things off plain and simple , I will talk about it's pros.

As the name implies 'Jackknife "Drum Bunker", it is already a very versatile card since it has both the Jackknife and Drum Bunker name. With the release of this card, many people have favored this over Drum Breaker since it does so much more with more or less the same cost.
This card is so good because of the fact that it has 'Move', 'Double Attack', '3 critical' and 'Penetrate' when all the conditions are fulfilled. The double attack , addition of critical and penetrate makes for one of the best combination of pre-set skills ever seen in Buddyfight history. This makes the card hyper aggresive and also defensive at the same time because of the move ability. With so much goodness in one card, its no wonder people have started building decks around this guy. It has good consistency of getting all effects onto the card almost every time you get him out because you can search him out with the regular Jackknife Dragon's ability and use SD Drum from your drop zone and place it into it's soul.

H-EB04-0005EN (Sample)However as good as it may seem , there is always a setback for such strong effects and one of such being that you need to have a 'base' Jackknife or Drum that you can place this over otherwise this card is pretty much dead in your hand, just like any of your other Jackknife forms.
Most of the time you would also need some time to get your pieces together before you can get your Jackknife Drum Bunker out in a safe position , at least with a Jackknife soul for it's 'move'.
It might also take some time before you can actually get a SD drum into your drop zone, so relying on that too much isn't that great. Also, with only 5000 defense, its easily destroyed by many size 2s and even some size 1s. This was a big problem faced by the Jackknife decks back then when Jackknife Savior was released.

Overall I think that this card makes for interesting variants in Dragon World and the ability to get people to build a deck around it, means that it's actually not such a bad card. There is much more they can do to improve the Jackknife and Drum archetype, but for now, this will do:)
