Hundred demons have always been ignored by many due to the mind set that the anime gave us by showing how Fifth Omni will destroy it without even doing anything. The aim of this post is going to be to prove that statement wrong. First, lets look at some strong cards from the hundred demon archetype.
1. Dragon knight Pisaro
This card is just too good to not play in any HD build. It gives you a free draw every turn nuff said. Your opponent will highly likely kill this card or you will draw a card and put him inside the soul of your boss monsters. There is no way you will loose out from this card if played properly.
2. Great leader Anson
This card is so strong. Its has 7k def and it costs only 2 guage to call. calling this and a pisaro turn 1 puts you in a very good position right from the get go. you can combo this with combatant nebatt to flood your field using just one card. good wall and free pluses, who does not like that?
3.Ice Prison Emperor, Cocytus Greed
This card is just amazingly good. you not only gain a guage but you also steal a guage from your opponent. That alone can disrupt your opponent badly. its especially good when you call this guy and call Anson over him and call him back again using Anson skill. you gain 2 guage and break 2 guage at the cost of 1 life. Not to mention he can destroy any card by paying 3 guage.
4. hundred demon sorcery, no brainer
This in my opinion is why hundred demons can even stay as tier 1. This card is just insane.This card wreks Aster and Raging Sprits. There is no way soul guard decks can fight against you if you main this card. some interesting thing to note. If your opponent casts a card to protect against the destruction effect of no brainer, then they cannot cast any more cards during that battle. If not for this card i would say hundred demons wont have a chance in this meta game.
5. Great Fiend Yamigedo
The last was between this and O-Yamigedo. But i feel this card's Thundermine pressure is far too great. your opponent will think twice before guarding your attacks when this guy is out. Most people like to wall with him but i take the opportunity to rush down my opponent as they will choose not guard your attacks especially if you have Eliminator Glasya Labolas paired with him as they will take 2 damage when they nullify your attacks.
Now on to the decklist!
The decklist here won 1st place in our locals tournament beating tons of Fifth Omni and Aster decks.
